Positive Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers  – can help provide casework, and access to emergency accommodation and run a drop in  on Wednesdays 10:00 – 13.00 at St Aidan’s Church Community Hall, Elford Place, off Roundhay Road, LS8 5QD

British Red Cross – also offer case work, as well as access to emergency accommodation

Asylum Justice and Release  – is a network of people in Leeds, often from faith communities, seeking to help people currently in detention who have a valid case for applying for bail.

Leeds Asylum Seekers Support Network (LASSN) can provide

  • emergency accommodation to asylum seekers, but you will need to be referred by British Red Cross or Positive Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers
  • one to one English classes for people unable to attend mainstream ESOL classes
  • befriending support
  • useful information on aspects of the asylum process, as well as things to do
